The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s data architecture to meet business and client requirements. This role involves ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility while supporting business analytics, data warehousing, and data governance initiatives. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to create a data strategy that aligns with Medimaze Solutions’ healthcare IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Design and oversee the implementation of data integration solutions between healthcare systems (e.g., EMR/EHR, HIS, PACS) and business intelligence platforms.
- Establish data governance standards and best practices for data management, quality, and security.
- Ensure efficient data storage, access, and processing while optimizing database performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead data migration projects, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for integrating data from disparate sources.
- Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and data scientists to define and deliver data-driven solutions for healthcare analytics and decision-making.
- Ensure data privacy and security protocols are aligned with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA) and local regulations.
- Lead the design and implementation of big data solutions, data lakes, and data streaming pipelines to support real-time analytics.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data architecture, integration processes, and data governance policies.
- Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative data solutions to enhance business processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or database administration, with at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency with data modeling tools and relational/non-relational databases
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and data integration techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, DeltaIO) and real-time analytics platforms like Apache Superset.
- Deep understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to design efficient data structures and processes.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work closely with various departments to ensure data strategies align with business objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data architecture strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
