The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and clients to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for healthcare IT solutions. This role focuses on ensuring that business needs are effectively captured and communicated, ensuring successful project execution and the delivery of tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency in healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements for healthcare IT projects.
- Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement in healthcare operations.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are translated into system designs and functional solutions.
- Prepare detailed requirement documents, use cases, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications to ensure clear communication of business needs.
- Act as the liaison between business teams, healthcare clients, and technical teams to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and expectations.
- Support data analysis efforts by working with large data sets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement within healthcare systems.
- Assist in the creation of test plans and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business and functional requirements.
- Support the implementation of changes, ensuring that stakeholders are adequately trained and informed about new processes and systems.
- Generate and present reports on project progress, risks, and business impact to both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with experience in healthcare IT or hospital management.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate business processes and requirements and recommend solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT systems (e.g., EMR, HIS, LIS) and experience working with tools like Microsoft Office, Visio, or other process modeling tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ability to identify issues and propose solutions in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- High attention to detail, ensuring thorough analysis and precise documentation of requirements.
- Basic understanding of Scrum Development methodology and the ability to work within project timelines.
